With a Masters in Sports Rehabilitation, I specialize in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. This includes assessing, diagnosing, treating and rehabilitating sport and lifestyle injuries. I have worked with a variety of patients from all walks of life and am experienced in delivering preventive and therapeutic interventions, and educating and supporting my patients through hands-on and exercise rehabilitation. My Personal Training background proves to be useful with identifying potential injury risk factors and I have a particular interest in injury prevention through corrective exercise.
I am a strong believer that addressing every patient as a whole person allows for optimal health, recovery and performance, through consideration of the multifactorial needs of each individual. Achieving a Masters in Sports Psychology allows me to incorporate this method in the recovery and performance of every person in my care. The rapport and relationship I am able to develop with each patient plays a big role in the effectiveness of rehabilitation.
I am enthusiastic about helping people and love learning new things, exploring new fields and building on my knowledge base. I have previously worked as a CrossFit Coach in Abu Dhabi and in a Physiotherapy Clinic in the French Alps. Recently, I spent a month working in Switzerland with the Chinese National Snowboarding Team. These opportunities have allowed me to be exposed to and treat a variety of different injuries.
As a keen sportswoman, I have always been involved in high-performance sporting environments, and my achievements and hobbies are very much sport oriented. This stems from my parents, my father having played rugby for Wales and my mother, who is still playing hockey for Wales. I enjoy living a healthy and physically active lifestyle; participating in CrossFit in my free time.
